Rain Your Words

Rain your words
on the dirt of me,
and they will fall everywhere, but
run through the softest parts
Carve away, where I am weak,
into channels
Rivers
that you speak into me
Streams that carry my own thoughts that flow
from watershed moments, and pour down
the fall line over the lump in my throat
then
out of my mouth, like a basin that fills
the pools
of my children and springs up in fountains
from the fields of their hearts
Oh,
but look at what grows here
When word waters flow, and
Thought creatures die
Seasons pass, trying blooms
Feelings
Fly over as clouds, and the dirt of me
Becomes
Earth, growing too loud
Singing the rain back, toward the sky
Up, and up, then tumbling
down
Bianca Ambrosino is a somewhat reclusive poet from Richmond, Virginia. Her unique, Autistic perspective illuminates universal themes with startling connections and vivid synesthesia. She spends her time writing, walking outside, raising her children, and reading countless academic papers/ scientific publications (for fun).
